Supporting people with disabilities to make their own choices, take risks and have control over their supports and services.

Ensuring accountability and a fresh outlook
90% of Canadians know at least one person with a disability.

A recent survey conducted by Pollara on behalf of BMO found that most people within Canada know someone with a disability.

Our organizational structure, as well as our Annual General Meetings, helps to ensure that we remain accountable for the services and supports that we offer. As well, our annual election of our Board of Directors allows us to produce fresh ideas when planning our future goals.

Our Board of Directors is supported by four standing committees, which includes the Executive Finance, Personnel, and Governance Committees. Reporting to the Board Chairperson and the Executive Committee, our Executive Director oversees the overall operations of the ILRC throughout the year.

Annual General Meetings (AGMs)

Every year in June, we hold our AGM to elect the ILRC Board of Directors, and present the ILRC annual report and audited financial statements. Both the report and the financial statements must be approved by the ILRC membership, and then copies of all documents are submitted to our funding sources.
