Employer Supports & Services

Proving the value of inclusion
15% of the world identifies as having a disability.

Thus, persons with disabilities are the world’s largest minority. As well, over 14% of Canadians have a disability.

Directed at providing services, supports, and education to businesses, employers, government, and service providers, this program aims to showcase the value of hiring people with disabilities as a viable labour source. Together, we can help your business become a more inclusive workplace while benefitting in other ways as well.

According to a report (Outlook 2020) published by Dept. of Advanced Education & Skills in 2011, Newfoundland & Labrador has 70,000 anticipated job openings before 2020, but our working-age population is estimated to decline by 31,859 over the next ten years. People with disabilities are an untapped labour pool of skilled workers who can easily and successfully fill this gap in our labour shortage while offering multiple benefits. By investing in employees with disabilities, your business can expand its customer base, increase innovative product development, and outperform your competitors. Through our program, you will be given access to an assortment of supports and services to implement inclusive hiring and workplace practices and experience the benefits of working with people with disabilities.
